Sunday night - 6:30-6:55 During Summer the Wednesday hours will be 9:30 am - 10:30 am only Mission StatementIt is the goal of the church media library to provide media to support the ministries of the church, for the nurturing of Christian values, and for the growth and encouragement of individuals. Selection of Media The director of the library and any staff appointed to represent the director will purchase media for the library using the funds from the allocated budget and designated gifts. Media will be chosen that reflects the values and beliefs of Christians. The library director and library committee will make decisions about the appropriateness of individual selections. Donated media is accepted according to the guidelines in the policy handbook. Users The CML is primarily focused on serving the church members; however, anyone from the community is welcomed and accorded the same checkout privileges. Types of Media The CML is a well balanced resource of media, currently housing approximately 8000 books. The collection includes selections for adults, teens and children. There are books from every section of the Dewey Decimal System, with a major focus on the 200's (religion), 300's (family) and Christian fiction. In our reference section we have commentaries, Bible study helps and general reference material. In addition to books, there are approximately 800 video cassettes. The children's section includes many Bible story and other videos that teach values and morals. A large selection of family movies is available. The audio visual section also includes musical CD's, books on tape and audio cassettes of speakers, preachers and music for adults and children. To see new media click newmedia. |
